Author Bio

Karen Whiting is an international speaker, former television host, and award winning author of twenty-five books. Her books have been translated into Afrikanas, Russian, South African English, Romanian, and Portuguese. Her most recent speaking tour took place in northern China this spring. She has a heart to help families build strong, wholesome bonds and follow God. She has written more than seven hundred articles for more than sixty publications and loves to let creativity splash over the pages of what she writes. Currently, Karen writes for Leading Hearts, The Kid’s Ark, and Molly Green Magazines.

Her writing awards include the Christian Retailing Best Award, children’s nonfiction for The One Year My Princess Devotions and the Military Writer’s Society of America Gold Medal for Stories of Faith and Courage from the Home Front. Karen serves on the board of directors of Christian Authors Network where she helps other published authors promote books to book lovers everywhere.

She likes adventure and has ridden a camel in the Canary Islands; white water rafted in Australia; ridden horseback in the ocean in Jamaica; cycled along Singapore’ shoreline, and enjoyed scuba diving off the coast of Bermuda. She is a mother of five children, including two rocket scientists, and a grandmother of twelve.
