Through our academic publishing program, we seek to meet the publication needs of the religious studies academic community worldwide with works on the Hebrew Bible and Hebrew language, ancient Near Eastern studies and archaeology, New Testament and Greek language, biblical theology, Judaism, patristics, church history, historical theology, practical theology, and religion and culture. Hendrickson is also delighted to be partnering with the German Bible Society, the premier publisher of original language Bibles.
On the trade end, Hendrickson is pleased to offer a greatly expanded Bibles publishing program, including a wide variety of print, audio and DVD Bibles. Our products include books on Christian living topics, Biblical studies and reference works for both pastors and the thoughtful layperson, devotionals, and many of the Christian classics.

|Rights and Permissions|
|Thank you for seeking permission to use Hendrickson Publishers material. Please consult the following guidelines concerning our policy. Your observation of copyright law and consideration of the labor that Hendrickson and its authors invest in each work are appreciated.|

|How long might it take to receive a response regarding my request?|
|Please allow at least 30 business days for a response. All inquiries will be handled in the order received.|
|What is your rights and permissions policy?|
If the original material was published in the United States 75 or more years ago (“public domain”), it can be used without permission from the current publisher. In some cases Hendrickson holds the rights to the typesetting of such materials. In that event, Hendrickson grants educational and other not-for-profit institutions permission to photocopy these materials free of charge for the use of their own constituents. They should be correctly cited, including author, title, copyright date, and publisher.
Copyright protection remains in effect irrespective of a book’s out-of-print status. Please check with Hendricksons Customer Service Department at firstname.lastname@example.org to determine availability. In some cases retailers such as Christian Book Distributors www.christianbook.com will have stock when Hendrickson Publishers no longer does.
|If you wish to use Hendrickson material in a course-pack, electronic or otherwise, or in other educational (i.e. conference, seminar) settings, please contact the Copyright Clearance Center at www.copyright.com.|
|Use by Not-for-Profit Organizations|
|Hendrickson Publishers hereby grants churches, parachurch organizations, synagogues, and other not-for-profit organizations permission to use material from publications copyrighted by Hendrickson Publishers in their Sunday bulletins, newsletters, and other short-term non-book publications free of charge within the following limits: the paragraphs quoted must not amount to a complete chapter of the Hendrickson material or account for fifty percent (50%) of the total work in which they are quoted. Notice of copyright must appear in the work as follows: "[Title] by [author], copyright [date] by Hendrickson Publishers, Peabody, Massachusetts. Used by permission. All rights reserved."|
|Use in For-Profit Published Works|
|Hendrickson materials may be quoted and/or reprinted up to and inclusive of 250 words without express written permission of the publisher, provided the paragraphs quoted do not amount to a complete chapter or other stand-alone (such as an entry in a devotional book or collection of stories or sermons) of the Hendrickson material or account for fifty percent (50%) of the total work, individual chapter, or stand-alone in which they are quoted. Notice of copyright must appear on the title or copyright page of the work as follows: "[Title] by [Author], copyright [date] by Hendrickson Publishers, Peabody, Massachusetts. Used by permission. All rights reserved."
